BIOGRAPHY

Cemre Kamacıoğlu, who donned the pseudonym "Leliel" at a very young age due to her interest in mythology and philosophy, first used it as her artist name and turned it into a project with the release of her alternative rock song "Durdurun" in 2021. She followed it up with the singles "Yavaş Savaş" released in the same year and "Derbeder" released the following year. The main aim of this project is to express her stories and concerns.

Before the Leliel project, Cemre Kamacıoğlu started doing street music in 2016 and later, in 2018, released an album titled "Dön Karadeniz", consisting of traditional songs local to the Black Sea region in Turkey,  under her real name. Being inspired by the nature she was born and raised in, she is composer and the performer for the six tracks on the album. Prior to her solo projects, she participated as a choir singer in prestigious choirs such as the "Boğaziçi Jazz Choir" and the traditional Georgian choir "Gürcü Sanat Evi Polyphonic Choir," and was captivated by the polyphonic form found in traditional music of the Caucasus region. The same form can be observed in all of her songs. While she was a choir singer in the Boğazici Jazz Choir, one of the most important projects she was involved in was the Turkish representation of the world-famous musical "La Boheme".

Besides that, she has shared the stage with many notable figures and has been a vocalist in numerous albums, films, and advertising projects. While pursuing studies in art philosophy, she has also continued her journey in theater and on-camera acting. The foundation of all these stage experiences was laid with the international "Comenius Project", which she joined in France to represent her country. As the artist continues her work, she aims to particularly focus on the Leliel project.
